This project was lead by Nigel Kennington from Edinburgh’s Telford College and a team from 6 different colleges throughout scotland.

Networking Academy girls had the opportunity to participate in a shadow day at Cisco where they saw firsthand what it is like to work in the IT Industry. They spoke to employees in various different job functions within the company, and also had the chance to experience some of the latest Cisco technologies, including a TelePresence session with students in the US.

Congratulations to the 20 students successfully enrolled in the Foundation in Computing course. Hopefully by now they are settled in their classes and only slightly worried about the amount of work ahead of them!

Foundation in Computing is an intensive course preparing hard-working students for entry into one of Edinburgh’s Telford College‘s advanced HNC & HND qualifications.

Telford College Open Day

As the college open day comes to a successful close, our fast track courses, due to start on Monday 2nd of February, are entering the final round of interviews, so if you’re thinking about applying, now’s the time to do it!

 

The courses we have available are:

  • Access to Computing – entry level, no formal qualifications required.
  • Foundation in Computing – for progression to one of our HN level courses in August, 3 Standard Grades or equivalent required.
